We’re having an ASL Karaoke night!

Thursday November 24
at the BOURBON PUB in Gastown (50 Cordova St W).

This is a 19+ event (because it’s at a pub).

Doors open at 7pm, event starts at 8pm.

Tickets $10. Tickets are now available, contact us for details on getting a ticket.

We are looking for volunteers to help sell tickets, and to help out at the event!

Good news! If you’re craving another big Deaf gathering now that IDSL is over, fear not! There will be a Deaf Hallowe’en party! It sounds fantastic. Here’s the details in case anyone may be unable to view the flyer above:

What:  Deaf Hallowe’en Party with Haunted Maze
When: Oct 29th at 8pm
Where: Email us for the address.
Cost & Details: $20 admission, $5 off if in costume or if you bring potluck food.
Prizes will be given out for best costumes and carved pumpkins. Bring your carved pumpkins to show off your carving skills and possibly win a prize!
There will be a keg of beer and food. Bring your own alchol if you want to drink something else than beer.

ART CAR!! We will be painting the bottom part of a car at the picnic! Children are encouraged to participate and add some color! Any artists out there have ideas? Contact Roger at rowenger@gmail.com

Info About Picnic:
POTLUCK- Bring your international food to share for potluck!
Please bring a description of your food dish too.

• WILL HAVE MICROWAVE if there’s a need to heat up your dish!
• NO BBQ provided, but if you would like to bring your own to bbq meat etc – please let us know (its allowed).

We are planning on providing:

• plates, forks/knife, cups, napkins etc.
• coffe & tea.

SHELTER #1 at Queen’s Park in New Westminster is booked for BCCSD’s International Day of Sign Language Picnic, from 11am to 6pm on September 24th. This is a family event, bring your children, family members, and friends. The children can play at the big playground nearby and we will have lots of fun activities involving art, ASL, etc! We will be having a big potluck, so please do bring an international dish to share with everyone. Can’t wait to see everybody!
